The kids and I are enjoying a special treat. My mom flew us up for a visit to Washington, and being in the Northwest after 5 years has been quite refreshing. There is something about the cool breeze in the summer mornings, the lush green of the fertile valleys, the endless acres of orchards and farmland. AND, the precious visits with dear friends and family. Our first night we stayed at Pauline's and had a wonderful visit with her kiddos, meeting them for the first time. Our kids got along splendidly (I have to credit HER kids for graciously tolerating mine :) and it was wonderful having time to visit with Mama and Pauline together. One of the highlights after such adventurous day traveling with Wilder and Waverley the day before was getting to have a quiet morning on such a gorgeous piece of property.
